Whether its a new ship or a new home, it's crucial to inspect the quality of materials and craftsmanship. Check if exposed beams and joists are in good condition and look for any large cracks in the basement walls that indicate a shifting foundation. Pay attention to any mildew stains that could suggest dampness or flooding. Additionally, ensure that the attic and ceiling insulation in unheated bas are adequate, and look for signs of water damage from leaks or issues with flooring walls. Don't forget to assess the functionality of and windows, the condition of bathroom fixtures, and whether kitchen appliances in good working order.

When purchasing a house, it's essential to pay attention to the exterior details. Be observant as you assess the outside: Is the outdoor lighting adequate? Are the sidewalks and well-maintained? Check for proper water drainage from these areas and ensure there are no noticeable s or dips in the roof. Inspect the shingles, gutters, and foundation walls for any signs of damage, such as cracks wider than 1/4 inch. Additionally, confirm that windows, doors, and the chimney are properly aligned, and that outdoor electrical outlets have ground fault current interrup for safety. Lastly, the lot's slope for drainage and ensure healthy landscaping with trees situated at least 30 feet away from the house.
